We don't claim to speak another language, but we do claim to love people from every tribe, tongue and nation around the world. And I do have a thing for getting the BEST quality when I can afford it! As we were in the early stages of forming the company, Neil - our principal contractor, took a mission trip with his daughter to Uganda. While on the trip, and thinking about all of the aspects of forming our business back here, he came across "ubora." To say "built in quality" with the local people, you'd say "iliyojengwa kwa ubora" It sounded cool, and had meaning on a couple of levels. Our passion is to be YOUR choice for a QUALITY build.
Not necessarily the cheapest or the quickest
We live in a "microwave culture" where we want things, and we want them now! I live next to a Walmart. When I'm working on a home project, and find myself in a bind, I can run next door (literally walk to Walmart) and get supplies at really any hour of the day. Generally, that is my quickest and likely cheapest option. I can even run over there to get tools. But in the long run, this is not my preference. I like things that will last! There's nothing worse than finding yourself in a situation of NEED, and all you have is an inadequately designed device to "save your life." Think of being stuck on the side of the road with a flat tire, and a lug wrench that is short and with a lousy fit that is only rounding over the stuck lug nuts. I'd MUCH rather have a wrench that fits snugly and is designed to give me the leverage to get stuck nuts unstuck - especially when I'm stuck, in the rain, in the dark, on the side of the highway! When you're looking to build your dream home, or update your existing home, do you go for the quickest and cheapest option? As Ben Franklin once said, “The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.” At UBORA, we want to help you achieve your dreams in a way that you will be glad you chose the quality option. We hope you'll be glad you took the time to say, "We chose quality. We chose UBORA!"
